THE DESIGN BRIEF
Casa Mar is a sea-view apartment design in Castellón created for international professionals who want their home to support both focused work and slower Mediterranean living. The concept explores how an apartment can balance open, light-filled spaces with a dedicated workspace, practical storage and a calm palette of natural materials.
THE DESIGN RESPONSE
The layout prioritises uninterrupted views, natural daylight and visual openness. Warm oak joinery, soft mineral finishes and a restrained colour palette create a calm architectural backdrop, while integrated storage and carefully positioned work areas maintain a clean, uncluttered environment. Every material was selected to reinforce a sense of warmth, simplicity and long-term comfort inspired by Mediterranean living.
THE LIVING EXPERIENCE
The design creates a clear balance between focused work, shared living and rest, without allowing the workspace to dominate the apartment. A discreet home-office area, integrated storage and an open-plan living space make everyday routines feel organised and effortless. Warm timber, soft mineral tones and natural textures create visual continuity throughout the home, while keeping the sea views and Mediterranean light at the centre of the design.
