THE DESIGN BRIEF
Casa Alba explores how a compact rental apartment can become more organised, comfortable and personal without relying on structural changes. The concept responds to the everyday challenges of limited storage, visible technology and sharing a small home with cats. The aim was to create a practical interior that supports daily life while preserving light, openness and a calm visual atmosphere.
THE DESIGN RESPONSE
A soft neutral palette, natural timber and warm tactile fabrics create a calm base that helps the apartment feel more spacious. A full-height storage wall combines closed cupboards, open shelving and a concealed television, reducing visual clutter while giving the living room a clear architectural focus. Pet-friendly textiles and carefully selected finishes make the interior practical without allowing functionality to dominate the design.
THE LIVING EXPERIENCE
The resulting concept makes the apartment feel calmer, more flexible and easier to maintain. Everyday belongings have a defined place, the television disappears when it is not in use and the layout leaves clear routes for both people and pets. Casa Alba demonstrates that a small rented home can feel considered and personal through intelligent storage, adaptable furniture and carefully balanced materials.
